A Recent Outdoor Project…
We recently undertook this project for our wonderful clients on the outskirts of Hamilton. They had an existing old pine deck that was not suitable for the entrance and entertaining area of their home. They opted for a large new kwila deck with built-in seating. We also made some repairs to their weatherboard cladding. They assure us they now regularly enjoy soaking up the sunsets out on their new deck and entertaining friends and family!

Each deck is different and a number of variables can affect the costs involved. Height of the deck, foundations required, choice of materials and any extra features all impact what your new deck will cost. We provide customised quotes after discussing your individual requirements, so you get the best value for your money – and a quality deck that is going to last.
This depends on the scope of work, but typically an averaged-sized deck takes anywhere from two to four weeks to complete.
- Any deck that is 1.5m above ground level needs a building consent.
- A safety barrier is required if your deck is 1m above ground level, whether your deck needs consent or not.
- Even if the deck does not need a building consent, it must still comply with the Building Code.
